Why We MUST Continue to Fight

WOW!  I know California is not the most conservative state in the nation.  BUT, are there really that many more people who have become corrupt and have lost ALL values for life?  I refuse to believe that there are not at least 51% of us Californians willing to STAND for what we believe to be RIGHT and TRUE.

I saw the best movie yesterday, “Forever Strong”.  Now, I’ve seen movies like this before… bad kid has tragic accident, goes to jail, meets good people, changes his ways, becomes the best that he can be.  BUT, I have never seen a movie like this without ANY bad language or sexual content… NONE!  How refreshing.  I would LOVE to get every young man and young woman ages 14-21 in the same room to watch this fantastic movie.  Are there people like that in this world today?  I have to believe there are.

We have a HUGE battle set before us, and yes this is just ONE of the MANY battles yet to come.  WE MUST CONTINUE TO FIGHT.  We mustn’t give up hope.  Hope for the future, hope for our children, hope for their children.  We must NOT become content with the world around us.  We can make a difference, we must.

Please stand with me in fighting for families throughout the world.  It’s not just about California anymore.  It’s our right for happiness.

  1. For me, this issue has many faces, but the most important one is our children.

Children deserve gendered society. They need the influence of both a mother and a father, it is their birthright. There are times when death or divorce prevent children from being raised by a mom and a dad, but I think we all agree, that such a situation is a tragedy in the life of that child. Men and women are different. There’s no question. Each gender has a gift to give to the next generation. Children need stoic strength, as well as gentle kindness, fishing trips and horseplay as much as hugs and emotional comforts.

There are stereotypical gender roles characterized in a myriad of ways, but the bottom line is that each gender is gloriously unique by design. Any marital-like arrangement that denies a child one gender or another in it’s parentage by design is less than ideal, less than it should be, and less than a child deserves.

    Anyway, those are my thoughts.

  2. I too saw the movie. It’s nice to know there are other people out there with strong moral values.
Many people feel Prop 8 will have no impact on their family. They are so wrong. The negative impacts will be far-reaching. Some consequences we won’t see for many years. Traditional marriage has been around for a long time. We need to have the moral courage to stand for it now. Vote Yes on Prop 8.

  3. We’re proud to vote YES! on Prop. 8 with you!!
Thank you for your gr8 blog.

Sooooo much more is at stake! It’s more than marriage…it’s our American FREEDOM.
    Vote YES! prop 8

  4. Thank you for your comments! This is becoming more and more exciting each day as we strive to bring people together for GOOD.

I get frustrated when I read opposing articles/comments, but it also gives me more fuel to fight harder and smarter.
